I was trying to decide between Asus, Gigabyte, Asrock, and MSI. I’ve narrowed it down to those brands because they have good reputations for their quality products. I also like that their motherboards seem easy to build with most has all the required headers onboard.

It was difficult to find a lot of reviews on these motherboards when I started my build, but I did find a few. Overall, most of them get very good reviews. Asrock and Asus for example, have been great boards so far. The key thing to look for is the number of phases on the power supply which should be at least 10+. For those unfamiliar with PC hardware, this means that there are 10+ wires going into the PCI-E slots.
The MSI boards that I have used in the past were solid, however, some of their newer boards seem to be hit or miss. I don’t recommend Gigabyte boards for Intel builds because they use a lot of proprietary components on their motherboards such as the CPU power cables and they don’t always fit well which can be annoying.
